About me
I write for children, working for major publishers either from my own proposals or to their brief. I have fiction titles in the marketplace and in production, plus a wide range of information books.
Teacher and writer
I trained as a teacher after a decade in journalism and PR. I enjoy teaching but I’ve always loved writing and now I am lucky enough to do both. In the classroom I enjoy finding exciting, different ways to teach the curriculum. This helps me to develop non-fiction ideas, some of which have become series with Kingfisher, Evans and Barrington Stoke.
Storytime
Children love stories, and I believe stories can still have a part in information books. An example would be the innovative narrative non-fiction Take Two series I developed for Evans, and the forthcoming Lifecycles series with Kingfisher, which puts lifecycle information into a story context via food chains.
